If the Arbitrage on Ebay was so easy, everyone would be doing it! (Mind you I think they are in the UK cause I can’t get a look in!)  But I will sell something.  I do realise that the course isn’t just about arbitrage, but I do want to make my first, risk free money online, and so far, this s the only opportunity I have seen to do this.

I’ll keep you updated, and believe me, you will know when I’ve sold my first item!

I’m still waiting for my prize from the week 5 webinar, but I’m pretty sure, from recent communications that it’s on it’s way.  I’m really looking forward to that!.

On that point of communication, my one criticism of the course thus far has been the amount of time to respond to emails.

I follow Jeremy’s own blog and have noted that a few Shoemoney users have complained about the amount of time taken to respond to requests.  He did state, (Jeremy) that they were making that point their priority.  Well I sent an email that day after he said that, which was answered in 20 minutes!.  He means what he says.

This week is all about Facebook, starting with the history and moving onto creating a Fan page, and then finally creating an Ad.  Now THAT is exciting, having never placed an Ad online, and it will hopefully teach us some of the rudiments of market research and keywords.

The content of the videos is still great, and appear to be in a logical order.  I know Jeremy is working hard to make sure we get all the information we need, and that is quite apparent.  The pace is still good and I’m managing to retain and actually remember the information going in!  Impressive for me.

When I first started the course, I had a nagging doubt that I was doing the wrong thing, that I was wasting my money.  I have come to this conclusion so far:

I have been contacted by lots of affiliates, trying to sell me wonder products that will make you rich in no time, based on years of research, that they have painstakingly carried out.  Well that is pure BullS*@t!.  Everything I have received is a reworded, rewritten idea, made to look very attractive, promising the earth for a few minutes a day.  As an example I was emailed with an offer of joining this amazing Ebay Arbitrage program.  It promised to show me all the inside secrets of the top traders.  Out of interest, I bought it, read it, then cancelled my order.  Why?  Because I wanted to see with my own eyes what crap some people are trying to sell, and it really was all that Jeremy has just taught me regarding Ebay, Arbitrage and nothing else.  That made me realise that I am doing the right thing, and my money is well invested for MY future.

I’m actually getting tired of all this rubbish, but it has taught me a valuable lesson.  (One of my philosophies is taking the positive out of anything, including bad experiences, because there always IS something good to learn)  Stick to what you have signed up to do, focus on it, and only it.  Don’t become distracted with this offer or that, because you will get hundreds of them.  As long as you are taking positive action now, and I assume you are either on the course, or thinking of it, then that is the ONLY thing you need to worry about.  Perhaps if you are very experienced, you can dive about between courses and programs, but I have found that as a beginner, my time is totally taken up studying this course.  And it’s enough.  I am learning, but not yet earning.  If I jumped all over the internet, joining this and that, I would still be learning and not earning for years!

I’m on this course to learn, then earn and continue that cycle!

This week sees us diving into social media and how to make money from Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms.  First off will be Facebook.  I do have a Facebook account, and have started to use it far more recently, but it will be great to learn how to use it properly, and to make some money whilst doing so.  Social media seems to be the new big thing, and advertisers are clambering to get a piece of it, so there should be lots of opportunities.

I was contacted by Shoemoney this morning re my prize for the week 5 webinar, they asked for my address so they could send it to me!.  I’m really looking forward to that and I’ll let you know what the prize is.

As a bit of an aside from the money-making aspect, I was playing with Imovie on my Imac this morning, and posted my first video to You Tube!.

It has nothing to do with money-making, but is a bit of fun nonetheless, and does help in the overall learning process.

Back to the Shoemoney system.  The first video of the week sees Jeremy explaining the social media sites he uses, and very briefly how he dominates these sites to create links, and money-making opportunities to his businesses.

I enjoyed the arbitrage videos, but Ebay didn’t float my boat, simply because Europe appears to be very tightly sewn up by the big Power seller on Ebay.  That isn’t just my humble opinion, but also from others who have tried.  I do understand the concept of Arbitrage though, which is very important for making money in any business.

I watched the 3rd Webinar last night, and had my eyes opened.  I have been looking solely at Ebay for arbitrage opportunities.  How daft am I!

There were lots of questions about Arbitrage and the answers were very revealing.  Although Jeremy has shown us how to use Ebay for this, it’s clear everything we do on this course is an arbitrage opportunity!

There are thousands of markets to carry this out on, and basically thats anywhere that sells things!

I have now opened up my narrow view of this concept to look further afield for Arby opportunities!

Again I had my questions read out, although Jeremy did omit 1 question regarding prizes, and it left me feeling a bit flat!  Stupid really considering the upcoming content of the next videos, making money on Facebook!  He will be taking us step by step through the whole process of creating ads for Facebook, which I’m really looking forward too.

Another question that came up a few times was Websites.  I have harped on about this in a few previous posts, about feeling left out, and the need to have one. Well Jeremy made it quite clear that we will run through everything needed to set up a website, and how to maintain it in good time.  So I need to shut up and follow the programme and worry about website building when I have gained more knowledge in other areas of the course, (not his words, mine).

Lesson for the day.  Learn to walk before you can run Neil.

I have received a few comments re this blog from other shoemoney system users, which has been fantastic!  One of which is Jtgrapic.  He was becoming a bit disillusioned with the course as it wasn’t giving up the content for the more advanced Internet marketers.  He wanted to ask a question specifically referring to that point, but felt it wouldn’t get read out.  It did Jtgraphic!, and I hope it gave you what you were looking for, AND you stay with us!  It’s good to know that there are all levels following this programme.

The pace has remained steady at full throttle!, and has proven a great experience.   There really is soooo much to learn, and being impatient, I want to know it all now.  Oh to be able to do a Spock mind meld!

I’ve been playing with all the websites, as mentioned in last weeks post.  There is some great information on them and they appear to be really useful tools for internet marketing.  One theme that is constantly mentioned when trawling through the available information sites is research, research, research.  This appears to be the REAL difference between success and failure.  Not clever ideas, brilliant websites or  landing pages etc, but thorough research.  Some of the tools I downloaded last week are exactly that, tools to check on performance etc of your respective website.

That is where my current problem lies.  I have a domain name, but no website.  To be honest, I wouldn’t have a clue about what to put on it if I did!.  PPC, CPC. CPM, banners, ads, landing pages, the list is endless!  I would love to find a site that gives you an outline, in layman’s terms, of what you need to be a successful affiliate marketer in website terms!. Theres my impatience coming out again, all in good time.

It seems this week will be concentrating on arbitrage.  I know Jeremy started off his business by using this system to build up some working capital, before moving into other areas of internet marketing.  I hope. with some effort, I can do the same, though Ebay UK does seem to be sewn up tight for this.

If I have any gripes about the course to date, it’s the amount of time taken to answer emails.  That said, there is an awful lot of content that will answer most question in the members areas.  The inclusion of the video glossary has served to answer many of mine.

I have emailed Azgoogle several times for advice, but understandably they want to concentrate on those people who have the experience of mounting campaigns, not one who wouldn’t know an internet campaign from a box of matches!.

It’s also webinar day tomorrow, I have sent in several questions, so I look forward to seeing if they are read out again.

This is my first money-making opportunity EVER online and I’m excited.  If I can pull this off  on a regular basis, this area alone will provide a steady income.

I have felt a bit overwhelmed recently by all the terminology used in the course, and this ever-growing need to have my own website.  I found that by going back over the videos several times, my fears have subsided and I’m slowly staring to realise that you can make money online without a website.  Arbitrage is a great example of this.

I’ve just taken a bit of time out to go back over the videos posted and BANG!  Jeremy has done it again!.  He has updated the members website with a new range of ‘Getting started” videos, covering all of the essential services to join, AND creating a video library, a glossary, where he explains all of the terms I mentioned earlier, and more!  Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!.

My learning curve is still vertical, but I am settling into the pace now.  I have even realised that if I keep creating pages on this blog, rather than posts, the tabs at the top of the blog will disappear very soon!  It is also great fun playing with the widgets that you can add.

The start of the fifth week shows us continuing into arbitrage in more depth.  By this stage I will have found out if I have made my first money online.  Fingers crossed!!……

I currently work in a great job, but have become disillusioned with my prospects and was looking for a way to be free of the ‘ratrace’ and have a life where I am in control, and I can work anywhere in the world.

I began researching different options, and found that although some skills are portable, most businesses aren’t.  I needed to find something that would combine both elements and came up with internet marketing.  Now I know I have no experience in this field whatsoever, but I am a firm believer that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

After much trawling around the internet looking for money making opportunities, (and there are millions of them!) I came across the SHOEMONEYSYSTEM.  I would like to say that through careful analytical skills and lots of research, that this system jumped out at me, but in all honesty, I can’t.  I can say that I decided to embark on this system, above all the millions of others, because it ‘felt’ genuine.  I am sure that if any serious business persons read this they would shudder in horror at such a step, but as I have no experience, I have taken a leap of faith.

I can say that once I had narrowed the field of possible opportunities, I did look at blogs, website reviews, and a host of other material to try and get a feel for the genuine possibilities this system would offer.  I noticed that the owner of the system, Jeremy Shoemaker comments on lots of forums and blogs.  That made me realise that he was real!.  This might sound crazy, but there are lots of offers out the promising riches beyond belief, but when you dig a little further, there is very little substance to them.  This course therefore seemed right for me.

I have now taken the plunge, signed up, felt sick and wondered what on earth I was doing!  How the hell can I make money online, when I have no knowledge of the internet?.  Thankfully I do have some attributes that will help.  If I believe in something, I will work at it, and I DO believe in this course.  I am reasonably intelligent, flexible and innovative, and I also have a very strong self belief that if you persevere at something, you will eventually get it right!.

Reading all the various articles relating to online marketing made me realise there is a massive world out there that I know nothing about.  The Internet. It interests me and I find the possibilities exciting.

I know that my learning curve will have to remain vertical for some time before I become comfortable with the new systems, operations and procedures for doing things in the internet marketing world.  This is my first step on the ladder, writing this blog.  I decided to do this for a number of reasons. Simply creating this is a great experience and Im learning, secondly it will help me chart my progress through the course and enable me to look back at the progress made.  It will also give me an opportunity to share with any readers my successes, failures, triumphs and defeats, so should anyone reading this be considering trying the course themselves, it will give them a first hand insight into the course, its content and what is required to be successful online.  I hope to write a weekly blog, charting my experiences, and hope you will find it as helpful as me.
